Update Firmware Instructions

Staying up-to-date with the latest firmware for your Biosense® device is crucial for ensuring optimal functionality and a seamless user experience. This guide will walk you through the steps to update your device's firmware, helping you make the most of your Biosense® device. Here's how to do it:

Step 1: Access the App and Navigate to Your Profile

  1. Open the Biosense® app on your mobile device and ensure your Biosense® device is paired with it.
  2. Navigate to the "Profile" tab within the app.

Step 2: Check Firmware Status

Important note: If you have already paired your Biosense® device with the app and you don't see the "Update device firmware" option, this indicates that your firmware is already up to date. You can skip to other functionalities or continue to use your device as usual.

Step 3: Identifying Outdated Firmware

If your Biosense® device's firmware is outdated, the "Profile" icon in the app will display a red dot, alerting you to the need for an update. You'll also find an option on the "Profile" screen that reads "Update device firmware."

Step 4: Start the Firmware Update

  1. To update your firmware, select the "Update device firmware" option.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the app to complete the firmware update process. This will ensure that your Biosense® device is running the latest software.

Step 5: Completion and Reboot

After the firmware update is successfully completed, press "Done."

Next, perform a Hard Reset on your Biosense® device. To do this:

  1. Press the Checkmark/Start button and hold it down for 13 seconds. You will see the Biosense® logo disappear.
  2. Wait for 30 seconds.
  3. Press the checkmark button once more and hold it down for 3 seconds.

Step 6: Pair and Take a Measurement

After the Hard Reset is complete, pair your Biosense® device with the Biosense® app as usual. Once paired, take a ketone measurement to ensure your device functions optimally with the updated firmware.

Note: What Will and Won't Interfere with the Update

Certain actions will not interfere with the update process, including:

  • Using another app
  • Allowing your phone to go to sleep or lock the screen
  • Losing network or Wi-Fi connection after the update has started

However, the following actions can cause the update to fail if performed after the update process has begun:

  • Manually closing the Biosense® app or encountering app crashes
  • Turning off Bluetooth in your phone's settings
  • Completely powering off your phone

Ensuring that you follow these steps diligently and avoid actions that could disrupt the process will help you successfully update your Biosense® device's firmware, providing you with the latest features and improvements.
