Long Preparation

Experiencing a prolonged preparation time or noticing a red dot next to the clean function on your Biosense device might indicate sensor interference due to contaminants or environmental factors. To address this issue effectively, we've compiled a straightforward troubleshooting guide to help you resolve these concerns.

Troubleshooting Steps: Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the extended preparation time on your Biosense device:

  1. Ensure Fresh Air Circulation: Begin by taking a few measurements in an outdoor environment or by a fan. This helps in circulating fresh air and eliminating any stagnant air that may contain contaminants. This simple step can often address sensor interference.
  2. Overnight Deep Clean: If the issue persists, performing an overnight deep clean might be beneficial. Follow these steps:
    • Gently remove the mouthpiece by squeezing the front and back.
    • Clean the mouthpiece using a warm, damp cloth (without soap) and let it dry thoroughly.
    • Keep the mouthpiece off for the entire process.
    • Connect your device to the charger and leave it on overnight. Allow the device to complete the clean cycle if prompted.
    • Once the clean cycle concludes, the device will enter sleep mode on its own. Periodically, the device will activate the pump to heat and clear the sensor.

This thorough cleaning process ensures the sensor is effectively rid of any contaminants that might be affecting its performance.

Maintaining Sensor Performance: To extend the sensor's lifespan and maintain accurate measurements, it's recommended to avoid exposing the Biosense device to the following for at least an hour after use:

  • Consumed food
  • Alcoholic beverages, sodas, or flavored waters
  • Smoking or vaping
  • Using toothpaste or mouthwash
  • Chewing gum or breath mints
  • Aromatics and solvents like cleaners, perfumes, hand sanitizers, or nail polish remover

These substances can compromise the quality of your Biosense device's measurements
